Does the 616 Have any sort short circuit protection on the station ports?

I am back with another question from our team. We had made another run however the tip and ring had become shorted for a extended length of time, the station port still works after fixing the condition. In this case I assume the station ports have a short circuit protection circuit of some sort.

Was this the case or are we just lucky?

RE: Does the 616 Have any sort short circuit protection on the station ports?

It's a digital signal, not a 120 volts.
