Hi all,
question regarding logon/logout on X8 HFA is it possible?
just like on hipath 4000 we do the code on the wabe on mhfalogon and mhfalogout then activate the features on SDAT CHANGE-SDAT:5329,ATTRIBUT,MHFATBV&MHFAHOME;
is it possible to this on X8?

for example different office but same network
office 1 (local 5252)
office 2 (5252 can log to office2)

do you have any suggestion how to use that features?

thanks

RE: Login/logout

Hi.

On OSBiz:

Mobility in the office is achieved via Desk Sharing, Cordless Phones and WLAN phones.
For Desk Sharing, IP Mobility (Mobile Logon and Flex Call) offers features for mobile users who want to use the phone at a different workplace just like their own phone.

With Desk Sharing, multiple subscribers can share one system telephone and thus one IP phone (HFA).
With Desk Sharing, subscribers have no fixed workplace and no fixed office telephone.
Desk Sharing enables multiple mobile subscribers of the communication system to share an office workplace and/or the phone.
The subscriber simply logs in at the workplace phone where he or she happens to be currently working.
After the login, the station number of the logged in subscriber is transferred to the used system telephone.
The used system telephone can no longer be reached under its original station number.
If the subscriber logs in at another system telephone, his or her station number is transferred to that new system telephone.
When the user logs out (Logout), the system phone automatically logs back on with its own non-mobile number.

One of the following steps must be performed at the system phone to activate the feature:
• Enter code for "mobile logon" + number of mobile station + optional password/PIN

When using phones with different numbers of function keys, the transfer of key layouts may be subject to restrictions.

If Desk Sharing is to be implemented for IP telephones (HFA) in networked nodes, an external DLS (Deployment Service) must be installed.

For each mobile phone number, an additional Deskshare license is required.
This Deskshare license must be activated for the subscriber, and the subscriber must be configured as mobile.
In addition, the Relocate feature must be enabled.
A system telephone that is used for Desk Sharing does not necessarily require a license.
However, if no license is activated and no Desk Sharing subscriber is logged in, not even emergency calls will be possible from this phone.
The system telephone/subscriber must be configured as Non-mobile.
If a system telephone is not to be used for Desk Sharing, it must be configured as Non-mobile and blocked.

On HFA device:

yes we have. i'll check on the service code on X8 there is no code for mobile log on/off.
do you have a procedure on how to setup we do this for all extension .
thanks for the help

RE: Login/logout

Hot Desking = DeskSharing = Desk Sharing = IP-Mobility = Mobile Logon

In Expert Mode/Station/IP Clients/System Clients: tab "Edit workpoint clients data" choose type: "Mobile" for mobile client(s).
Check the checkbox "Authentication Active" and edit a password when PIN is required.
In Expert Mode/Basic settings/System Flags check the "Relocate Allowed" flag on.
For Log on of mobile user use code: *9419 + Stn. Number + PIN.
For Log off use code #9419.

hi Adibv,

it is possible on the desksharing using virtual stn.? thanks

RE: Login/logout

Never tested, but it is mandatory to have a physical device (deskphone) and on it you can log with different numbers (configured in the system as a physical devices even if they are not connected/in service).
On virtual stn. there is no key assignment defined so you may have issue on login to deskphone, but you can test.

Hi Adibv

we have a client the user is 400 ip users they have 90 tie trunk and 60 for CO. they need another 400 for the used of desharing

400 ip phone users (system client)
400 deskshare on the deploy phone is it possible?

thanks

RE: Login/logout

I cannot tell. Maybe a sales technician could clarify.

RE: Login/logout

Never used a X8 but have used a seen it setup on MX's but it was 6 years ago..
Not exactly sure what the phones were setup as but they had no dial tone and didn't use a licence.
When someone logged in the device received a licence and dialtone.

In this case they didn't have to licence the hotdesk phones and the users/ numbers.
