Migration of IP Office 500V2 to IPO Server Edition ??

Migration of IP Office 500V2 to IPO Server Edition ??

(OP)
Hi Team,

We plan to migrate our customer with IP Office 500V2 Release 9.0 Essential Edition to the IP Office Server Edition R11

After migration, we will have IP Office Server Edition + Gateway IP Office 500V2

We already received the following licenses:

• IP Office R11 Server Edition LIC:DS => QTY x 1
• IP OFFICE R11 ESSENTIAL EDITION MIGRATION UPGRADE LIC:DS => QTY x 1

My question : does we need two IPO Server Edition Licenses to make existing IPO 500V2 Gateway working with the new IPO Server Edition or we already have the Essential Edition Migration license that is enough ?

Many thanks in advance for your help

RE: Migration of IP Office 500V2 to IPO Server Edition ??

Yep, you need a Server Edition Licence for each node on an SE setup regardless of whether it is a Primary server, backup server or IP500 Expansion

Hi Pepp77

Thanks for the reply, but what about the license: "IP OFFICE R11 ESSENTIAL EDITION MIGRATION UPGRADE LIC:DS => QTY x 1" ?

The customer has already running IPO 500V2 Essential Edition

Thank you in advance

RE: Migration of IP Office 500V2 to IPO Server Edition ??

you will need to upgrade the ipo 500v2 to release 11 as well.
The Primary server edition R11 needs a licence
(Server Edition Licence for each node )
The IPO500 which will convert to a server gateway needs a server edition Licence to be installed on the Primary server
(Server Edition Licence for each node )

Thank you snowman50, just another question, which licence I need if I want to deploy only application server with existing IP Office ?

Thank you in advance

RE: Migration of IP Office 500V2 to IPO Server Edition ??

To use an application server with an IP500 you need preferred edition to utilise the voicemail and one-x (plus user licences for actual one-x access).

Sounds like you need to get on some sort of training as these are very basic setups on the IPO.
