IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

(OP)
Seems they decided to anticipate the release of the R11 Maintenance (originally scheduled for marh 29th) and to jump over the R11 SP3, getting a little bit confused, there...

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Could not find the release notes on the knowledgebase, but found them on the support site.

11.0 FP4 release notes here

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

(OP)
Me too, additionally the OVA file is missing, anyway I wonder why they passed directly from SP2 to SP4 and before the scheduled date.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Downloaded file version (build 74) don't match the versions on the support doc (build 73).

Suspect they are doing some last minute alterations.

Might sit this one out and let others discover how stable it is!

ACSS (SME)

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

So release date on the Support website has changed from 28th Feb to 4th March. VMPro is now available to download.

Still no associated TB.

ACSS (SME)

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

I'll be keen to find out if the 11.0.4 release is better than it's previous ones?.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

i downloaded it monday and it messed up my j179. i cant program any buttons, my three call appearance keys are just red handset emblems with the extension next to them. i can make and receive calls but it's all jacked up. my reason for loading .4 is that we just installed a new system with all j series phones for a hospital on 11.0.1 after i had problems updating the sd card to 11.0.2 from 10.1 which is what it was shipped with so i just used .1 instead, well the caller id isnt working (PRI) and from what i read the problem is still there on 11.0.2 as well. the other issue is that the jem24's dont work at j100 firmware 3.0 so instead of updating the phones i figured i'd just update manager and let the whole system update on our test system. the j series updated to 4.0 and jem's power up now but the j series phones are all messed up and there isnt a document on .4 to know what is and isnt supported. really not liking 11 firmware but the new phones look great. anyone know what the fix is for caller id on 11.0.1 i'd love to know it, i ordered jbm24's for now until this can all get straightened out so that takes care of that issue.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Seems like the J179 is not in IP Office mode anymore.

Did it screw the 46xx settings.txt file?

Take a look at it and see if you can set parameter to two (SET ENABLE_IPOFFICE 2)

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

...seems its also bust your Enter and shift keys, I'd go back to SP2.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Sounds like your phones have reverted to Avaya J179 (Standard SIP) as opposed to Avaya J179 (SIP Feature)" if you look under the status or under "user" it should tell you which mode you are in.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Like I said. Check the 46xxsettings.txt file.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

yes it has the phone set to Standard SIP now

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Can you check the settings file?

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

it's set to that for j1x9 already

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

i have support calling me tomorrow and ill update this if its resolved in case anyone else has issues like this

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Just a matter of interest are you using TCP or TLS under the SIP proxy setting on the J179 telephones?

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

TCP, i was given a doc on setting the proxy by our distributor and it went over setting up 179 phones. on 11.0.1 the auto provision took care of everything, it picked up the vlan and set everything up i just entered the extension and password to login. I didnt have to do any extra stuff until 11.0.4. I havent spoken to our support yet to fix the issues but so far i've defaulted the phone, downloaded 11.0.4 again from avaya, uninstalled manager on my pc then reinstalled and ran hfs then changed the http settings in manager to custom and pointed at my pc running hfs then set the phone up again, but the same problem happens.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

just to update this and close my part out, i think the new release is working fine. before i left off the part where i tried to update the j179 firmware manually to 4.0 while on 11.0.1 and i know now i messed up something when i did that. my fix was to pull my sd card and format it then recreate it using 11.0.4, i then put it back in the chassis and the only thing i had to do was reload my license file; for some reason when it came back up it says the system is not licensed so i loaded the file back up and after defaulting the j179 it came up and i was able to login; everything works fine so far. caller id works and has my number in visual voicemail which was an issue on previous releases. Jem24 works with no problem and i'm able to add blf for users on j139 which was another big reason i needed to move to 11.0.4

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Quote (gotchaback)

and the only thing i had to do was reload my license file; for some reason when it came back up it says the system is not licensed

Yep, only takes once to learn this as I have done it also;

For any IP500v2 using the local SD card for plds licensing; If you format the SD card, that also deletes the .xml plds license file for your system that is located on the SD card for IP500v2's. Either pull the PLDSkeys.xml off the sd card before doing the format and copy back on after the re-create or if you forget, it'll come up un-licensed and you'll do what you did -simply find your license key on the plds site (or your own offline backup copy) & upload it via manager.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Just updated our lab system. Only issue we seem to be having is with Web Manager. After logging in, it just gets stuck on loading. Sometimes it works though.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

If upgraded from 9.0 there is no PLDSkeys.xml file, licenses are stored in the config which is not as in R9.1 and higher, they need the xml file.
That is why it came "unlicensed" after the upgrade.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Same as acollard83 here.
Just updated Demo System - WebManager gets sometimes stuck after login.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Webmanager sucks.
Do not ever use multiple edit, it will ruin your configuration!!!

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

We're running this release on our Lab system, the only issues we've seen are with Web Manager, it can get stuck sometimes after login on Firefox, Chrome has no issues though.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

One issue that seems to have popped up, that may not be related to the upgrade.

For the Equinox clients, we now get an error when setting up the client, this is a Windows client. Failed to download all certificates.
We are using the auto generated 46xxsettings.txt, no modifications. We have TLS off, using a 3rd party certificate (not a wildcard).
Also using Avaya Spaces and have the config settings in there.

To note, this was working before the upgrade, at least I am pretty sure it was.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Another issue found...
Because of the work for Officelinx integration...if you had Officelinx with SIP trunks, and you upgrade to 11.0.4, officelinx now needs the SM trunk license, not the SIP trunk license... Easy fix, but a pain nonetheless.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Does anyone have a set up with a primary and an ip500v2 as expansion running FP4 ?

I have an issue on my lab (and at 1 customer site) : I cannot edit anything using web manager for my gateway.
Everything is fine on primary!

Logs states an issue with web services ...

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

I did a upgrade IP500 R10>R11.0.4 and after upgrade i tried to enable the registrar with manager > no go with webmanager > ok using manager again > registrar disabled
then used manager 11.0.2 with no problems (i think )

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

@intrigrant this is normal behavior and work as designed :) . If you use Manager and have no SIP extension created, it will automatically disable SIP Registrar

CODE -->

•SIP Registrar Enable
Check that SIP Registrar Enable is selected. This setting is automatically disabled on systems with no SIP extensions configured.

http://marketingtools.avaya.com/knowledgebase/businesspartner/ipoffice/mergedProjects/sipphoneinst/enabling_sip_extension_support.htm

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

@pkdev, that is stupid as you should first enable it and then program extensions.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

@tlpeter this is even more stupid when you have an entire site running Equinox without any hard phone ... I have a case open for that but R&D answer that this is work as designed but they need to update all documentation to reflect this change !

Anyone with gateway connected to a primary :) ?

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

As Intrigrant said do not use multiple edit with this release.
With 11.0.2 i had not issues but using it with 11.0.4 ruins button programming.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

I just got an email from a colleague that upgraded a system to 11.0.4 and they now have issues with low volume on 9600 phones on headset. They are downgrading the 9600 phones by using the old upgrade text file and .bin files.
Apparently Avaya knows of that and and is working on a patch.
I think we have another disaster with a 4 in it. Just like 4.0 release this one seems to be crap. I will not upgrade anyone to it and use 11.0.2 until they get this resolved.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

@pkdev
I know that but I have multiple users using Equinox as a softphone but no SIP extensions configured as there are no SIP extensions and still the f*cking registrar gets turned off.
In Manager 11.0.4 it turns off the Registrar but using the 11.0.2 Manager not.
Bad programming and no testing by Avaya!
I will not use and advise anyone to NOT use R11.0.4 it is bad!

Me is told that Avaya stopped the field trial program and now bring out new releases and wait for bug reports from the partners found in the field.
If that is true then I advise anyone NOT to use newer software until there are at least four sevicepacks released of the new software.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Westi...i have heard of 2 other sites with same issue.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Today i upgrade ip500v2 with ucmv2 from 11.0.2 to 11.0.4 and i have a problem with outlook plugin.
After the upgrade and plugin updated i have the following issue
With outlook 2016 for the plugin to login i need to connect first with call assistand or login to one-x first. If i dont login the plugin says communication error.
With outlook 2019 works ok.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

We also have issues with headset-volume after upgrade. Just 2 users that I know about and we all have the same firmware?!
We also have an analog doorphone (via audiocodes) where DTMF relay-triggering won't work on internal calls from h323-phones.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

h0lle,
pkdev addressed the low volume issue with the link prefixed with "9608 issue".

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Acollard and those with equinox cert issue. I'm not sure about security of this but you can add cert to primary folder using file manager. Copy text of autogenerated settings file and make new file. Modify SETTRUSTCERTS xxx
Where xxx is cert filename. Save and add to primary folder.

That fixed it for us

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Update from my Thursday install on R11.0.4 that was handed to me and I didn't have time to downgrade
All J179 phones
embedded vm in Intuity mode (of course smile as that is the good one)

you cannot log into the mailbox with dialing *17 and then hit # pw # as it will not recognize it, you have to instead use the full extension number # pw # (my extensions are 5 digits AHHHH)
You cannot enter a new pw from the *17 interface and have to use the visual voice to do so

This release is CRAP

Hey Avaya test your sh!t and not let us be on customer site looking like idiots when we train customers and stuff doesn't work.

Maybe I should tell my Boss to go with Siemens or Alcatel systems (don't give me flak for that as I know they have bugs too but I don't think they would release a crap release like this where the absolute basics don't work)

I had this and few similar when trying to recreate the SD card for the upgrade. Checked the program folder and indeed they weren't there.

Guess i should check the pirmary folder? Anyway I used the online upgrade which seemed to work.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

I had that issue the first time I installed R11 SP2

You have to right-click on the downloaded zip file and select properties, there is a button for "Unblock", click it and then Apply

Run the installation as Administrator, and when it is done, run it again as a Repair. This will put the "missing" files into the directory

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

I think my 15 year old daughter creates better .exe files than Avaya these days.

Come on Avaya, it can't be THAT hard to make the installation files work. We all use Win7 or 10 or server 2008, 2012 or 2016 that's 5 operating systems you have to test.
With or without domain makes it 10 OS's in total. Get off your Linux is all we care about boat and get with what most people still have on their PC's.

Upgrading our dev IPO-SE (Hyper-V Virtual) to R11 FP 4 from R11 service pack 2. To get this to work, I needed to update the services one by one. Has anyone else come across this? From all of the posts above, I sense there could be a lot of kinks to work out here.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

First time I have deployed the Application Server as a VM using a Hyper-V vhdx and I see the "web index" but the web manager does not load. I can see that this is stopped in the AS web manager :7071 but it refuses to start.

Voice Mail Pro works well as seems to start quickly - I recall this took some time before. I have allocatd 4 CPU, 4gb RAM, 100gb HD for a basic set up so I don't think resources are an issue.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Does anyone know what happened to the SP3

Quote (Tech Bulletin 218)

29th March 2019.

that date has passed and we got the lousy FP with every bug known to tech nation instead of bug fixes.

Let's hope that this release goes on a fast horse and leaves town to never be seen again.

Maybe it is time for them to do a complete rebuild like they did after the 4.0 disaster.

Start with 4.2 which was a good release as far as I remember

For anyone interested in the Web Manager issue (stuck at 'Loading') after logging in, here is the fix for all browsers:
-----
Details
IP Office Server Edition Any version to 11.0 FP 4

Problem Clarification
After upgrade to IP Office 11.0 FP 4, can no longer access Web Manager (port 7070). Browser screen shows "Loading..." but never completes.

Web Control on port 7071 works fine

Cause
This happens only if the user has accepted the Google Analytics EULA for Web Manager earlier.

good to have.

I usually use a different browser if mine is not working. Opera, IE, Firefox, Chrome and Edge and usually one of them will work.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Hi All,

This may be a silly question but we are in the process of installing our first version 11 IPO 500V2 with VM Pro. The equipment has been ordered. 9500 & 9600 series phones. Looks like IPO version 11.0 SP4 needs to be avoided. Which 11.0 version seems the least "buggy"?

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

SP2 but if equinox is sold then use FP4

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Thanks Intrigrant. Just phones, no apps. Also no 9600 series but J series instead.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Make sure you get the J100 critical patch for 11.0.2.

Without it a blind transfer from a J100 has no audio once answered. Putting the call on hold and picking it back up will bring it back. The critical patch can be gotten from Avaya by opening a ticket. From what I've seen here, 11.0.4 does not include the fix.

Also, you'll get the asian characters in voicemail at random times issue. Also a critical patch. I've not bothered fixing that one as I'm unsure if one patch also contains the fix for the other and the transfer issue is much more business affecting.

You can also download the R4.0.1 firmware for the J100 phones separately from the Avaya support site and load that manually on to the SD card. It doesn't fix either of the issues listed above but I assume it has some reason for existing.

- Qz

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

The J100 SIP 4.0.1 firmware is required for the JEM24 button modules to be used, which is nifty button module considering that one on it's own is a 72 button module, where as two is just two-single pages of 24 buttons.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Problems continued with the Application Web Manager and Web Control:

Pages would not load or load once then not reload
Connection refused

Had tried Edge, IE, Chrome and FF even clearing the cache.

I then checked the Hyper-V settings for the VM and set memory to 4196mb and turned off dynamic memory and all is working OK including One-X portal. Not sure why this worked and I guess for bigger set ups you'd need more memory.

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Anyone had issue accessing Self Administration on 11 SP4?
I can access the web manager fine, but unable to access self administration, which we need to access for the call recordings.
Have tried IE and Chrome and have cleared call cookies and browser cache.

Thanks

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

(OP)
Me too Johnhyde, no way to access the self administration web page, all browsers tested

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

I haven't had an issue with the Self Admin on server edition so far. I assume the user Web Self-Administration tab didn't turn itself off during an upgrade? Seems to be ok on my 500v2 as well. Was this an upgrade or new install? What platform?

RE: IP Office R11 Feature Pack 4 now available ???

Seems OK to me using Chrome, Edge, Firefox or IE on an IPO500V2 - I don't recall doing anything special and went to https://<IPO IP address>:8443/WebMgmtEE/selfadmin.html
