Link Transfer Option CICS

(OP)
Hello all,
I have a customer with a cics and cp100.
He has Rogers generated dial tone punched down for lines. (I’m located in Toronto)
The customer wants to transfer his “support” calls to a remote user phone number through his vmail system.
I know with Bell Canada they have a link transfer feature for they’re analog trunks, so it doesn’t tie up the phone lines.
I’m trying to avoid tying up multiple trunk lines for the outbound transfer to remote phone line.
Can anyone suggest a solution?

Setup Path as Transfer/External to #9416-XXX-XXXX
# does the Link/Flash
9 is your Destination Code

Thanks!
Will this work on Rogers lines too?

RE: Link Transfer Option CICS

Looks like they do the same as all other carriers....

From the Rogers user guide for business lines:

To use Call Transfer:
1. While connected to a caller whom you want to transfer, press the hang-up (or LINK/FLASH) button on your phone.
2. After you hear a dial tone, dial the local number that you would like to transfer the current call to.
3. Once the new call has been answered, hang up your phone to transfer the call to that number.
