Transferring calls showing external number

Transferring calls showing external number

Transferring calls showing external number

(OP)
This client i'm setting up wants to have transferred calls show that the call is coming from reception instead of the actual external caller.

They want this so they end user will answer, and reception can tell them who is calling.

Currently when transferring the display shows the caller ID

What trunks are used would help.

Sorry for not clarifying. All trunks are analog.

I've migrated them from an old Nortel PBX to the IPO 500v2, and apparently it worked correctly previously

RE: Transferring calls showing external number

I do not believe this is possible with analog trunks, they normally just stamp the btn number on all outbound calls.

RE: Transferring calls showing external number

limitation of analog trunks, not the phone system

RE: Transferring calls showing external number

Are they doing a blind transfer or supervised? I would think on supervised transfer the caller ID wont pop up until the transfer is complete.
