EoS ?

EoS ?

Heard about the IPOCC End of Sales soon, does anyone know about it?

RE: EoS ?

Not heard of this

RE: EoS ?

Yes, I'm lost for words, although it was kinda expected looking at where they've been heading the last year.

What do you mean janni78 ?

RE: EoS ?

Can't find anything in lifecycle notices?

RE: EoS ?

The news is coming this week on the partner event, options will be Avaya branded Xima CC or ACCS.

I can't believe, they leave a proprietary working solution for a 3rd pty one. Is the XIMA multichannel, at least? Cause the ACCS is really more expensive and complex compared to the IPOCC, it's not properly a smb CC solution.

RE: EoS ?

Yes it's infuriating with the amount we have spent on IPOCC training.

Chronicall is a great solution and they have introduced skill based routing.
It's had web chat since last April I think but we have never sold it.

Chronicall is very easy to set up but nowhere near as flexible or powerful as IPOCC, and the support on Chronicall (or ACR) is nowhere near as good as the support direct from Xima.

I know engineers who do both IPOCC and ACCS who say ACCS is easier, but the price does exclude it from a lot of SMB sales.

The price of Chronicall has increased a lot recently with the Avaya badged version being released.

RE: EoS ?

The problem is that neither ACR (Xima) or ACCS can do some of the things you can do in IPOCC.
As I understand it ACR is also very simple in what you can do with call flows.
ACCS main problem is that callback costs a fortune for that system unless they've changed it recently.

The only thing to do is to scream out loud at Avaya and hope they change their decision, but I suspect the main problem is that the development got outsourced and they couldn't handle it.
It also seems like in the US they sell more ACCS and they think the EU market works the same.

RE: EoS ?

I've heard the same rumor but nothing official

RE: EoS ?

It was announced during last weeks partner event, although I don't think many IPO BPs were there.

RE: EoS ?

@janni78: Anything official yet like an EoS notice?
I searched both the support and the sales site but couldn't find anything.
Also, what does this mean for CIE - do you know anything about that?

Thanks in advance!

RE: EoS ?

I believe the official announcement is in January

Thank you Davea2

RE: EoS ?

I would assume CIE gets EoS as well since it's basically the same product but who knows.
I don't understand why CIE wasn't released outside of Germany a long time ago, it would had a much larger customer base.
