Custom MOH Not Playing Ball

Custom MOH Not Playing Ball

Custom MOH Not Playing Ball

New to the forum -

Ive been adding Alternative Music sources on an Avaya IP500v2

Ive created both files with a max length of 25 seconds, each in the correct file format 16bit/8khz/mono added them to the PRIMARY folder within the Embedded file management naming them holdmusic2 & holdmusic3 once this has been done ive then returned to system programming and changed the music source to WAV and added the 2 newly added hold musics to the alternative list as below and assigned to the relevant ICR & Hunt groups rebooted the Avaya but neither work nor does dialing system short code *342 or *343 i just get the comfort tone

Number Name Source
2 Sales Hold Music WAV:holdmusic2.wav
3 Service Hold Music WAV:holdmusic3.wav

Any suggestions as to what has been missed?

RE: Custom MOH Not Playing Ball

Did you Reboot after adding them?

RE: Custom MOH Not Playing Ball

I did yes.

I rebooted the Avaya once they were added within Embedded File Management and once id made the programming changes within manager

RE: Custom MOH Not Playing Ball

My guess would be that the wav files are not within specs.
Run monitor, enable the filesys filter and in SSA shutdown and start the SD card.
in monitor trace you will see a message like "Walk to wav success or fail".

RE: Custom MOH Not Playing Ball

Worked a treat that!!

Both holdmusic2 & holdmusic3 now active

RE: Custom MOH Not Playing Ball

Nice intrigrant. Doesn't a reboot of system do the same thing?

RE: Custom MOH Not Playing Ball

Sure, but why rebooting if you can do without?
I hate reboots, or better, i hate the waiting if it is not necessery.
