Upgrade firmware on 5400 series phones for 10.1

I am doing an upgrade to 10.1. Customer currently has 5420 phones. I discovered their firmware is 4.x. I looked at the 10.1 release notes and there is no new firmware file for those phones. How can I upgrade them to 6.0? Or is 4.x OK?

RE: Upgrade firmware on 5400 series phones for 10.1

Not supported : link

So the 5420 is not supported at any firmware level?

RE: Upgrade firmware on 5400 series phones for 10.1

They work in R10.1.1 10.1.2 broke them. 10.1.3 fixed them. You need to add the allow_5410_upgrade in the nouser source codes and provide an external TFTP server if you have 5410. Fill in the IP in system for the TFTP. 5420 should upgrade on there own but they may have issues displayying the time. I have a 5410 connnected to a R11 here in my lab and haven't see any issues yet. I also have a 5420 working without issue at 11. But yes... it isn't supported, but as always, doesn't mean it doesn't work.

The only issues I have found is the time in the call logs is wrong.

RE: Upgrade firmware on 5400 series phones for 10.1

It's anywhere from 6 to 10 minutes in the future.
