RE: Export report without printing Report Footer

Hello,

I'm using SAP Crystal Reports 2016 and have a report that has a pdf embedded in the page footer and is displayed as an Icon. This is needed for the report. Is there a way to suppress or hide this when the user exports this to a pdf or excel as we don't want to print the Icon.

Thanks much!

RE: RE: Export report without printing Report Footer

Add a parameter {?Export/Print} with yes or no options. Then use the parameter to conditionally suppress the footer or object.

Thanks for your quick response!

Is there a way to do this without a parameter? It works except It shows up in the parameters for the users to filter from. Is there a way to create a button the user can click to hide/unhide the pdf? I would like the user to be able to turn this on or off within the report and not within the parameter selection.

Thanks for your help!

RE: RE: Export report without printing Report Footer

That really isn’t much different from using a parameter. Note that once the user has run the report, they can change the parameter for export/print without rerunning by using the parameter list to the left of the report canvas.

I don’t know of any other way to do this.

I think your right. I've tested this many ways and this is the best way so far. Thanks so much for your help.
