Voicemail Pro 8.0 - Announce calling number before message

Voicemail Pro 8.0 - Announce calling number before message

Hello,

Hoping to get some help on a support issue that's currently boggling my mind.

I have a customer running Windows Voicemail Pro, Version 8.0(6001) that has ran into an issue with what seems to be a long standing feature of their system.

This is something in particular that I haven't dealt with before, so any input is greatly appreciated. The client is stating that, up until very recently, they had a feature of the VM system that would give an automated announcement stating the phone number that called in when a user plays a voicemail. It would be something like this: (Automated Voice) CALL FROM: 555 867 5309 (Voicemail Message Plays) Hello, this is XYZ calling about ABC, please give me a call back as soon as you can, etc.

I'm looking all over in voicemail pro Administration settings, Manager configuration, and here on Tek-Tips for a resolution, but at this time i am stumped. Anybody out here familiar with this function on Avaya? Or is it possible that this was supplied by an outside service?

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance

RE: Voicemail Pro 8.0 - Announce calling number before message

is there a whisper option? somewhere in the call flow before the delivery point?

There are no whisper options anywhere in the callflow. Most of their traffic routes through their main numbers which point to *80 for the Day Menu. From there, their prompts just go to basic transfer actions with no entry prompts or anything fancy.

That's just the header in the voice mail playback -

Voice Call from: 123 456 7890
Received 7 59 pm Wednesday June 27
40 seconds

Resolution here:

The telco provider, for whatever reason, had disabled inbound CLID on the system. Once I ran sysmon and saw that all inbound calls were showing 'withheld', I had them re-enable it. Once CLID was working again, the header came back up as designed.

Thanks all for your help on this one.
