Avaya Partner Systems intercom program help

Avaya Partner Systems intercom program help

(OP)
I have messed up two of our Avaya Partner Systems extensions and cannot figure out how to correct it. I need help. The programming of two of our 8 extensions got changed internally to dial tones, but only in one direction. Ext. #14 pressing ext. #13 gets a dial tone outside line, but ext. 13 pressing ext. 14 connects correctly. I had messed up the programming on Ext. 14 myself and do not know how to correct it. I have also done this one way on ext. 11 to Ext. 15. I need to change the dial tones back to correct extensions. It is model release is PACS R7.0 91I

Can anyone help?

Bill

RE: Avaya Partner Systems intercom program help

What is the release of your system? At a display phone, press Feature and dial 59

Perhaps a restore to an earlier version would restore the programming.
At Ext. 10, Feature 00, Left Intercom Twice
Dial #125

Screen should say either
1-Manual mmddyy
or
1 – Internal Manual mmddyy

If the first, press 2 and you will see Auto mmddy

If the seconds, press 3 and you will see Internal Automatic Backup mmddyy, then press 4 and you will see External PC Card Automatic Backup mmddyy

Find the AUTO backup with the most current date. If it is 07012018, Press the "Enter" button, which will be the far right column, 3nd button down

The system will restart with the programming from the 1st of this month.

However, if the date of your AUTO backup is far out of data, we will need to look closer at your description of what's off to give you instructions on putting it right

Thanks Tommy,

My back up is far out of date by a few years. The model release is PACS R7.0 91I

RE: Avaya Partner Systems intercom program help

Quick clarification....Pressing the "X13" button while sitting at x14 used to ring x13, but now gives you outside dial tone?

If the outside dial tone buttons at x14 are still correct, changing the button for x13 is pretty easy.

I love2 "FEATURE 00"

That is correct. Pressing the x13 from x14 does give me an outside dial tone, but pressing x14 from x13 connects to that extension.

I cannot figure how to fix this and need advice please.

RE: Avaya Partner Systems intercom program help

At Ext. 14, press Feature 00, then press the button that should call Ext. 13, and it should say something like Immediate Ring Lxx. Make note of the Lxx part.

At Ext. 10, Feature 00, Left Intercom Twice, #301-14-xx-2 will remove the line that has become assigned to the button on Ext 14.

Go back to Ext. 14, Feature 00, press the button, it should now be blank, press Left Intercom, and dial 13 (or *13 for voice announce), Feature 00
