NS700 IP TRUNK

NS700 IP TRUNK

Hi All

Looking for some guidance on the capabilities of an IP trunk from one PBX to another at a different location. (NS700)

Client would be looking to have an auto attendant setup at main site, then certain opt would pass to extensions at the other site using the IP Trunk? would that work and will it work with UM OR DISA?

I remember back something getting mentioned with regards to enhanced licence but i am sure that was on the NCP?

Any help greatly appreciated as always!

RE: NS700 IP TRUNK

Yes if you have a ip gateway card connecting the system you can have calls between sites and have an Aa/disa setup.

I personally use disa for the AA as it is simpler for basic operations

I would recommend putting in the DSP card so you have loads of disa channels

You may want a mobile licences if you want phone to ring in both sites at the same time in a group

Cheers. Yes that’s what I would want , so in order to have extensions from each site in my group I would need a mobile licence for each extension?

Can’t I just create a portable extension and forward it to site B extn number and put all the PS in the group? But to do that I need the mobile licence correct?

Can you tell me if the Panasonic will do hunt groups so it will hunt round circular? It’s not something I see setup on the Panasonic’s.

RE: NS700 IP TRUNK

You need a licence for each portable station that is forwarded to a group on the other system
So if you put in a PS in a group on site a and that ps is forwarding to a group in site b them both groups will ring together

You can have a group ring circular but if you want it to happen on both sites it would be harder to do.

You can have it ring group on site and overflow to a ps to ring a group in site b but stops on site a without a licence
