Charts and showing parameter values selected

Charts and showing parameter values selected

(OP)
I am using CR2016 SP2

On a chart I would like to show as footnote or on side 2 parameter values i selected in order to get the data for the chart - not obvious how i do this

RE: Charts and showing parameter values selected

What are the parameters? What datatype are they? Are they set to allow multiple values?

One is a single date and one is a single string

RE: Charts and showing parameter values selected

I don’t think there is a way to do this within the chart, but you could add another section and then just place the parameters directly into it. So if you chart is in the report footer a, add a report footer b section.

If you want to show them on the right side, then add them next to the chart object and then format the section to “relative positions” so that the parameters will move over if your chart grows.

OK I will try this method Bit poor this as the point of running parametrs on a dataset is to select and you need to know what you have selected, so if you can display on a dataset you should be able to show on the datasets chart as well !

RE: Charts and showing parameter values selected

You could put the parameters in a section above the chart section and then format the section to “underlay following sections”—This could then give the impression of being on the chart itself.

Thanks this works fine

I have one issue left. I have put your solution nd the chart itself onto area at end of report - RFa and RFb.. I have a logo, report title etc in PHa and data field headings in PHb. I want to supress these page "headings" on the last page where I have put RFa and RFb (as new page btw)

OK Ibass i have sorted this by putting following in the heading supression X-2 area - "pagenumber=TotalPageCount"
