Ye olde Panasonic TVP-100 message wait problems

Ye olde Panasonic TVP-100 message wait problems

Hi All,
I have a customer using a TVP-100 voice mail unit with a 3rd party phone system. So no DPITS integration. Message Wait light is sometimes not coming on when a message has been left. For example a user had the light come on today and they had 11 new messages going back a couple of weeks. Another user's light came on today too and they had 7 new messages going back to last week.

In the past I have had the odd problem where the MWL will not come on or will not extinguish for a particular extension despite leaving new messages or deleting them all and the only way to resolve the problem is to delete and then reassign the Mailbox.

The system has been in and working for over a decade and no configuration changes to the handshaking has been made to cause these issues....I don't think anyway.

Can anyone offer some advice.
