Dial 9 for outgoing line

Dial 9 for outgoing line

Dial 9 for outgoing line

(OP)
Hello, can someone please tell how to setup a phone to automatically go to a certain line when 9 is pushed on a BCM50? Mine currently will not do that and I can not figure out the issue. Thanks in advance!

RE: Dial 9 for outgoing line

Under Sets/LineAccess/LinePoolAccess/ see what a working set is at then do same to yours.

That would be my problem, all of my extensions are setup so that it will not dial an outside line when 9 is pressed.

RE: Dial 9 for outgoing line

Then how have you getting a line out?

Do you have some details to offer as to why/what you are up to?

RE: Dial 9 for outgoing line

I pushed one of the programmable buttons that is programmed for line 061. I'm not quite sure why the 9 button won't work though to access line 061?

RE: Dial 9 for outgoing line

I have the phones set up in my home using a single line and I want to be able to pick up the handset and push 9 to get an outside line (061). Is this possible?

RE: Dial 9 for outgoing line

Yes

Method 1 - Line Pools
-Go into the Line 061 and put it into Pool A
-Go into Dialing Plan/LinePools and tell Pool A to use 9
-Go into Sets/LinePoolAccess/ and Add "A"

Method 2 - Routing (suggested)
-Go into DialingPlan/Routing/Routes/Route 000 and see Use Pool A is already there and if not add it.
-Go into DialingPlan/Routing/DestinationCodes/ and Add "9" and tell it to use Route 000 and Absorb 1

For both methods:
-Go into Sets/Capabilities/Preferences/DialingOptions and select Automatic Dial

Usage:
From the set just press 9 only to get the line.

Good post. .star

RE: Dial 9 for outgoing line

Thanks dude

I did not mention External Code of 9 under Dialing Plan/LinePools as I normally de-program it by habit.
