Outlook 2013 Email List Group By Received Date

In Outlook 2013, I would like to group by the received date by date not date and time in my e-mail list. I also intend to display the received by time... My current problem is I don't have enough room on screen for both and this seems like it would be a good presentation.

I am guessing I would use a format like "ddd mm/dd/yyyy" to show the date in the grouping.

My hold up is on creating an appropriate field if necessary with the correct value and grouping on it. Is this one of those MS want let me do what I want or what am I missing?
