KX-HTS32 to Asterisk via SIP Trunking

KX-HTS32 to Asterisk via SIP Trunking

(OP)
Hello guys & ladies,

I guess everybody is doing just fine.

There is massive shift to VoIP based phone systems in my city and the biggest challenge seem to be cost for small businesses.
I have thought i can deploy Panasonic KX-HTS32 for small business that have up to 50 Extensions and hook it up to Asterisk via SIP trunk so that Asterisk can use the 4 FXO ports on the KX-HTS32 and they can as well maintain some of their analog phones that would be connected to the KX-HTS32. This option is preferable because the units are readily available cheaply than having to import Asterisk FXO cards (including high taxes) the costs becomes insane.

So the main question is, ANYBODY HOOKED UP THIS UNIT TO ASTERISK VIA SIP TRUNK?

I eventually managed to get these two connected and working.
