I am setting up a new Avaya IP phone, with a static IP address, I have got the correct router IP address, subnet mask, and vlan, but it's still not connecting.

Need help!

Bad router means that the phone can't contact the default gateway that you programmed. Either you did not enter a default gateway, mis-entered it, or it is a network routing issue with the particular port you are trying to use.

Use the IPO ip address as the router if it is within the same subnet

Figured it out. Apparently, it has been configured for DHCP so the IP address field should be all zeros. You still need to configure the router, subnet mask, and Vlan. Thank you for your suggestions.

If it has been configured correctly for DHCP then you shouldn't need to configure anything directly on the phone.
