Hello, can anyone help me with the above, we have a rather complicated building to survey for a DECT R4 and in my mind I was hoping to use a compact Dect RFP and put a 3725 in survey mode to see signal strengths etc. Of course I don't want to lug around an IPO as well, is there a way to spoof the RFP into allowing the 3725 to subscribe?

Any help would be much appreciated

You do not need an IPO to subscribe the handset to the base station.

Thats very helpful, do I need to put the RFP into a specific mode or should I just see a dect base station to subscribe to? The rfp is flashing blue atm

To be honest I am not even sure you need to subscribe the handset at all.

You should just be able to plug in the base extension so it has power and then put the phone in survey mode and it will show the signal strength to that basestation.

Yes thats what I thought but it says no subscription when you try to do that.

You are right you need to subscribe the phone first. But it still only needs to subscribe to the base station and not an IPO.

Thanks Pepp77, how do I do that? It asks me for Sari etc?

Do you have a DECT R4 in house? if so take the SARI from that and enter it into the base station you want to use for the survey. As much as Avaya will not admit it the same SARI could be used for all your DECT installs if you really wanted :)

No we don't unfortuantely as we use Mitel MiCloud and our Avaya Demo kit doesn't have it either. I do have plenty of clients with them though so have access to sari information.

Ill try that :)
