ERS 4524GT Corrupt Agent code with very old Diag version

ERS 4524GT Corrupt Agent code with very old Diag version

(OP)
I just acquired an old ERS 4524GT that upon first book had corrupt Agent code, and an ancient Diag version (5.1.0.7). I already have a few more 4500 series switches running, but none have such an old pairing of Agent and Diag. When I boot the failed switch I get the Diag menu. Is there a way to upgrade the Diag software from this menu, to a more current version, so I can load one of the more current Diag/Agent pairs I have on file?

Diag: 5.1.0.7
Agent: Corrupt, will not boot, goes to Diag Menu
Hardware Rev: 02

RE: ERS 4524GT Corrupt Agent code with very old Diag version

diag 5.1.0.7 looks to be in the 5.4 software train.

If you can get a copy of 5.4 software image from Avaya or your support company, you can load the image from the diagnostic menu.

You can only upgrade the agent image from the diag menu, not the diag software. The only other option is to return the switch under maintenance.
