Avaya S8300E AVP with US and CM

Avaya S8300E AVP with US and CM

All - Need some assistance. I have AVP on S8300E in G450. The AVP is installed and fine. I tried (10 Times) to install the US VM on this and it hangs forever at the Running SANITY CHECK and then comes back with a Connection Error. The VM show failed to Deploy in current action on SDM Manager but in the web Vsphere client is shows it is running and i can get to the console. I read Support Avaya site and they are saying something with NTP. I changed in VSphere online client the NTP and disabled it then attempted again -same failure.

Please help>...?

RE: Avaya S8300E AVP with US and CM

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

RE: Avaya S8300E AVP with US and CM

I have found that is it either the password or you do not have the US info populated in DNS.

RE: Avaya S8300E AVP with US and CM

I have had numerous issues with deploying the VM's/OVA's in AVP. I personally found that I have to remove the VM and redeploy it. I have had occasion where I had to uninstall the SDM and re-install just to get the AVP to display the right state of the VM's. I think Avaya is still working out bugs in the background.... I also have had issues with the SAL VM not starting at all when deployed. On some of them I have had to go into the VM via SSH and start the services manually.

RE: Avaya S8300E AVP with US and CM

Assign yourself on the same subnet as AVP and plug into the Lan on the gateway if you can. you will get this error 90% of the time using the services port to deploy.

Even though it says it failed, everything works 100% fine FYI.
