G430 console port

G430 console port

G430 console port

Hi. I need to reset root password for en G430 and I can´t find the console port. Where is it?

RE: G430 console port

Doesn't have one! IP Services port for it, .5 for you.

And the backdoor password is no good anymore since a certain firmware level, gotta nuke it.

RE: G430 console port

It's the services port. between CCA 10/1 and LAn 10/3
set up your laptop to and ssh to
username root

RE: G430 console port

So there´s no way to restore/reset root password, right?

RE: G430 console port

Can I get it back to factory defaults?

RE: G430 console port

The rev Kyle555 is referring to are post 34.6.0 & 36.x you might still be on an old release.

RE: G430 console port

I already tried with backdoor password ( "ggda....." ) through Services Port and could not access.

I guess it´s a brand new g430, probably a newer release.

RE: G430 console port

Avaya can login as init and change the root password

A great teacher, does not provide answers, but methods to teach others "How and where to find the answers"
