Hello I have html code and i want to convert to wordpress.

I follow the tutorial

create a header.php, footer.php, index.php and etc and call the css using echo get_template_directory_uri() code

but when i try to check my css still not apply specially on the header.


Anyone can provide tutorial links?suggestion?tips?

Coverting a html based website to a Wordpress one is a lot of work.

I would suggest you source a similar looking Wordpress theme to your current site and then install and adapt this. It woill save you a lot of work in the long run and probably give you a lot more creativity and options re the look & feel of your new site pages.

Actually it's not, having done it twice now I can say that it seems far more daunting than it is in practice. Even easier if you DO NOT try to take a standard theme and modify it, but start with a skeleton theme such as HTML5 Blank, _S (Underscores), Roots or Blank Theme instead.
