Automatic Attendant reset/Merlin Mail System Admin

Hello All,

A year ago we lost our companys owner and need to remove his voice off of our automatic attendant. I am able to re-record the general VM but not auto attendant. Also we do not have any of his passwords to the system administrator on merlin mail. Is there a way we can override and have it changed ? We have a Lucent/AT&T MLX-20L model I am able to access the normal voicemail and get messages but not to change the system admin so that we can change the auto attendant. I have tried the general login I saw on a forum which was (0#) but that does not do anything but ring, it doesn't even allow me to enter a password. The auto attendant is too painful for those who call and still hear his voice. Please help, thanks !

RE: Automatic Attendant reset/Merlin Mail System Admin

Since dialing 0 just rings, it probably is NOT a Merlin Messaging, but rather a Merlin MAIL. Try mailbox 9997# instead of 0#. The password will still be up in the air, but it may be the one that everyone uses without thinking. You may find a cheat sheet for changing the recording on my website

Or....Merlin Messaging VM cards are relatively cheap...get a R4 and
start over with new prompts and passwords.

Yes, that's true. However, the Legend Phone System has to be a RELEASE 7, or a MAGIX.

Personally, that is the way I would go, IF the LEGEND was the correct release.
