Use the Left & Right functions to put the - into column 1 and the remainder into column 2.

Assuming this in in the detail section, create a text object and place the bullet character inside. Then create a formula that strips away the bullet from the memo field:

mid({YourMemoField},2)

Place the two fields next to each other and enable the formula field to grow:

[*] Your memo field would be here without the leading bullet
and the text would start growing at the left margin of
the formula field.
