Vodavi STSe CO Line Ringing Control

Hello ,

We were recently presented with a Customer Requirement of "A Button to Turn off the Ringing at an Extension. When the Main Receptionist @ ext. 100 is out or on Holiday they want another Extension to Cover the Incoming Calls ! Presently we have the CO Line Ringing set as Follows : V440D , S100DS , S103DS , S113DS .

We can add the new ringing extension "S111DS" without ANY Problem.

The "Feature" they want Programmed is to re-purpose the existing (Unused) DND Button to a CO Ringing Off/On Button .

Apparently the Lady @ Extension 111 does not want to move to the Attendant / Receptionist's Desk and ALSO does not want to hear Outside Lines Ringing at her Desk when She is not Officially Covering the Function .

Has anyone here ever Programmed a Button Function such as this on an STSe ?

1. Unusual to have V440D, as all lines should then ring to voicemail.
2. You have day, night and special to work with - it looks like you have not used night ring. So use it.
3. You MAY be able to have phones ring via a hunt group, and have user enable/disable hunt group membership.

Thanks for your response . The V440D is what enables the Voicemail to Operate . A young Man we Contacted a couple of years ago was responsible for the V440D addition to the ringing pattern. He has many (12+) Years of Hands-On Experience with the STSe System and after I was UNABLE to get it to Operate Correctly Until we contacted this Young Man and followed His Suggestions to make the VoiceMail System work Correctly. We have used it successfully for Two Years now without ANY Complaints. If He were STILL AVAILABLE , I would be letting HIM work on this Button Problem. I am just a Casual Programmer and am not that Versed in the Vodavi System . I spent 5 Years administering a Northern Telecom SL-1 1200 Line System for a Large Hospital. If this Was an SL-1 , I could do it in My Sleep !
