Alexa expands

Alexa expands

I remember when Alexa first came out in the early 2000's.....before Amazon bought them. I really liked their concept of being a "thesaurus" for websites. Like if you were at Target.com, it might show Walmart.com, Sears.com, Kmart.com, etc. It was really helpful when I was researching Facility and Asset Management software.

But Amazon has changed the Alexa AI engine quite a bit.

Oooh, Alexa has been around a bit longer than that, it was launched in 1996 so pre-dates Google in the Search Engine stakes, and Amazon 'squired' it 1999/2000 if I recall correctly.

One thing Amazon is missing is making Audible books available on the Fire TV box/stick. That would save me at least one set of cables connecting various devices to my 'hi-fi' system. :)
