Scrap Reporting of G/L Account

Scrap Reporting of G/L Account

Scrap Reporting of G/L Account

(OP)
Merry Christmas everyone and a happy new years too!

Hopefully quick question with an easy solution:
My quality department is trying to track scrap using MAS (SAGE 100). They want to be able to print a report monthly/quarterly/yearly showing all part numbers and quantities transacted (issued) charged to their G/L account made for reporting scrap. Currently we try to use the "General Ledger Detail Report", add tons of comments and print full comments. I want to get away from duplicated part numbers in comment section and getting quantities for those part numbers in a report.
Is there a better way to report part numbers and quantities for a G/L account xxxxx-xx?

Thanks in advance for all the help! afro

BUMP. I'd hate to assume there isn't a solution to my issue.

RE: Scrap Reporting of G/L Account

You are issuing using Inventory Transactions (In the Inventory Module)? If so, are you integrated with Job Cost? I have never found a way to get from the G/L back to inventory transaction history, but if used Job Cost, and issued our scrap to your Selected G/L AND to a job, then you could get where you need by pulling data out of Job Cost, as it stores your Part Numbers issued (as a comment, but that's something.)
