Need help to create Visual Integrator Import function to Sage 4.40 and Kronos

Need help to create Visual Integrator Import function to Sage 4.40 and Kronos

Need help to create Visual Integrator Import function to Sage 4.40 and Kronos

(OP)
I have a Kronos file where it will contain the employee number, earning code and hours to pay. Started programming the VI import function but would like to look at one that's working or if possible have someone create remotely a new VI function to work. Also would like to create a desktop icon to launch the VI import.

Also not sure on how to apply automatic deductions since they are in the program and that data will not come from the Kronos system.

RE: Need help to create Visual Integrator Import function to Sage 4.40 and Kronos

What version are you on? And normally you would work with your reseller on something such as this. Have you ever done VI imports?

version 4.40 now.

Yes but short on time and would use some help.

I understand version 4.5 has some import jobs already created. Would look into that.

RE: Need help to create Visual Integrator Import function to Sage 4.40 and Kronos

There are quite a few more required fields to make this work. Workers Comp Code, Department Worked, Payrate, Earnings Multiplier, the list goes on. Many of the required fields don't need to be in your data, can be pulled from other tables inside VI.

I recommend that you do real actual data entry on a few employees, then make a VI Export Job so you can see all the data and fields that get created when you do it manually, then start adding fields until you get it right (Or hire someone). The Hire Someone is great if you don't need to learn how to do this stuff for future use, but if you are your companies "Guy" when it comes to this stuff, go in on a Saturday when you won't be bothered and get used to frustration of trial and error. I took a class on VI a number of years ago and didn't get much out of it, it was a very basic setting with little or no take away documentation. VI can be extremely useful so trial and error education is worth the time.
