I have two fields set as parameters in cross tab report with a qtyused summary

Group and product code fields are used for parameters. In the database a product code is under s specific group. however I cannot figure out in the parameters how to do the following and would like advice or help please

1. When I select a product group I then only want to see the product codes that are in the group in the drop down list for the products. Currently it lists all the codes in all groups and this is quite hard to find the code you require.
2. Also sometimes I may only want the summary for all the group and not a particular product, is there a way I can set it so I can select the group but not a product code?

both my parameter are set to dynamic with the field names as the data source.

Any help please would be great.
