Li-Fi

I'm not sure that Li-Fi is an accepted acronym yet, but someone's using it. I remember hearing about successful experiments with this LED technology about 4-5 yrs ago. It still has terrible bandwidth, but how much data does an IoT thing need to transmit or receive?

I foresee the day when your fridge, freezer, toaster, and oven all are showing different HD/40K movies on them.

My microwave makes me think "WTF is that" every time I look at it, ... ...

RE: Li-Fi

I am working on a project and want to add Li-Fi into it. Can you help me to understand more about it?
What are the specifications of light and the frequency?
Also what kind of the hardware it uses for its working?
From where i can get its hardware?

RE: Li-Fi

The last time I worked with LED transmission, the bit rate was limited to ~56kbit/s , and even less if you didn't/couldn't drain the charge out of the receiving phototransistor's gate with an external resistor.

That was quite a while ago; I hope improvements have been made.
