Dropping the connection

I need a script which will do that, I wanna ping an IP range every 10 mins and if one or more of the nodes do not respond to ping then save the time and IP address into a text file,
if it responds do not log it.can you guys help me please?

RE: Dropping the connection

I don't have a script but I've used a program called "Ping Tester Pro" that will ping with different sizes, intervals, timeouts and record failure times. You can schedule a time for it to stop/start and you can export the results to a spreadsheet. As ping tools go, pretty cool
