Octel 200 error type 33

Octel 200 error type 33

Octel 200 error type 33

(OP)
Evening.

I just received an email alert from one of our Octel 200s. Error type 33. This isnt something I have to deal alot with and dont have alot of documentation for the Octel 200s. Thanks to some solutions from user doktor on another post, I was at least able to gather some information. So here is what the system is telling me.

TYPE SLOT CHNL PRIO DATE TIME #BAD DATA1 DATA2 DATA3 DATA4
33 01 00 3 07/21 01:25 1 00000000 00000005 00000000 00000000
@ps

CH 1 CH 2 CH 3 CH 4 CH 5 CH 6 CH 7 CH 8
IDL IDL IDL IDL IDL IDL MOD ERR

I cleared the hardware table and checked slot 1.

.list slot

Enter SLOT NUMBER to LIST.
LST:1

SLOT CARD TYPE PORT EXTENSION# COS MODE OUTCALL TEST SYS
---- ---------- ---- ---------- --- ---- ------- ---- ---
1 DLC16 1 1000 500 AX YES YES 1
2 1001 500 AX YES YES 2
3 1002 500 AX YES YES 3
4 1003 500 AX YES YES 4
5 1004 500 AX YES YES 5
6 1005 500 AX YES YES 6
7 1006 500 AX YES YES 7
8 1007 500 AX YES YES 8

I'm a little worried about the ERR on CH 8. Its usually listed as MOD.

I've checked the hardware table a few times and the error has not returned. I made some test calls and it hasnt come back again. Not sure if its cleared or will return and i dont know how to troubleshoot channel 8. I only have remote access to this system. Any help/information would be useful. So far, most of my solutions have come from similar issues other users have posted on this forum. So thank you for the help in that respect and thank you in advance for assistance with this.

RE: Octel 200 error type 33

Hi there.
Here are my comments:

TYPE 33 deals with Line Card Hardware Error.
Error logged by selftest when start LSP reply was
received with either an error status or an unexpected OK status (e.g., Slot is empty or already reported
down)

DATA-1:
00 = START LSP REPLY RECEIVED WITH EITHER AN ERROR
STATUS OR AN UNEXPECTED OK STATUS.

DATA-2:REPORTED STATUS
00 = LSP SUCCESSFULLY STARTED

DATA-3 = CURRENT SLOT STATE
00 = EMPTY (UNCONFIGURED)

--------------

Try to do a C H, and check later with L H

RE: Octel 200 error type 33

(OP)
Thanks for the reply. I cleared the table and checked it a few times. It did not come back and I havent gotten any new alarms. So that's good. I appricate the input. Question though.

DATA-2:REPORTED STATUS
00 = LSP SUCCESSFULLY STARTED

Am I reading the info wrong? DATA2 was showing 05 or can that/is that ignored?

Thanks again for the help

Ed
