Office keeps crashing Windows

Office keeps crashing Windows

Office keeps crashing Windows

(OP)
I try double-clicking on an Office 95 file, for example Excel, and the PC just sits there with an hourglass not doing anything. However, I can go into Excel, or any other Office application, and open the same file through FILE, OPEN and it will work fine! It seems that Office is crashing explorer.exe in Win 95. I have tried an uninstall and a reinstall of Office 95, but that didn't make any difference.

RE: Office keeps crashing Windows

I had the same problem when I was using Windows 95. It was a problem with my Virus checker - check what files it checks on startup and disable you virus checker from checking the file - any problems let me know.
