ubuntu help adding unzip

I have just loaded a copy of ubuntu 12.04 onto vmware. I do not have web access and I am trying to load unzip onto the unit. I tried doing the sudo apt-get install unzip but am given an error. about unable to locate it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: ubuntu help adding unzip

If you don't have web access, apt-get will not be able to find anything from remote repositories.
What kind of files are you looking to unpack? In most cases, 7zip will take care of any format you throw at it.
