Data Values appearing Across Report vs Tabular

Data Values appearing Across Report vs Tabular

Data Values appearing Across Report vs Tabular

We've used Crystal Reports for years (spanning several versions) and now changing to SRSS, and thus all past reports need to be "converted" or basically rewritten (which is the direction chosen). Very limited (almost zero) experience using SRSS here, so the question ...

Most our reports have the headings appearing in the PAGE HEADING area of CR (listed across the page), followed below in the DETAIL section (in the same manner). For instance,

Heading >>>>>>>>Jan Feb Mar Apr May
Detail >>>>>>>>>003 218 743 321 524

Using SRSS (SQL 12), how is that done? I can do it using a table (using a calculated field), but that lists the data in a tabular format taking many more pages. Also, how do you sort it so Jan comes first, etc.?

Thanks in advance!
