formatting error

I am trying to format a null field so I came up with the code below, it looks ok to me but it is giving me an error

this is my code

strValue = "<a target=_blank href='http://mywebsrv/sales_list.asp?mastertable=Daily&masterkey1="& data("tddt") &" '>"("0" & data("Sales"),2) &" </a>"

this is the error I get

Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A000D)
Type mismatch: '[string: "'>"]'

RE: formatting error

CODE --> (ASP)

" & chr(34) & "

instead instead of throwing the odd single quote here and there.

RE: formatting error

Guessing, but is this what you were going for?

strValue = "<a target=_blank href='http://mywebsrv/sales_list.asp?mastertable=Daily&masterkey1="& data("tddt") &" '>" & Right("0" & data("Sales"),2) &" </a>"

RE: formatting error

Thanks, would this be instead of the

"0" &
