How can you add a newer model number that is not listed in the Endpoint Configurator?

I used a slightly different model number and add the account to it but other settings seem to screw it up...

RE: Phone model # not listed in Endpoint Configurator..

1. You can build the Generic SIP Device in the PBX settings.
2. Open a browser and go into the web GUI of your SIP telephone. There you should be able to enter the account info you built in the UCx and register the phone.

***NOTE***- While many SIP phones will work with UCx, you may find some that aren't supported!- Best thing is to check the E-Metrotel WIKI for the supported sets. We have used Yealink, Grandstream, Polycom, and of course, the Nortel\Avaya IP phones. The Polycom sets can be tricky sometimes and using Cisco phones is "an exercise" to say the least!- REMEMBER- The Nortel feature Set will ONLY work on Nortel phones! Other SIP phones will need to sue the respective * codes that can usually be programmed on the phones buttons.

Hope this helps and have a blessed day!
