thread723-1667092: Does XEROX 8570 & 8870 ink interchange?

The problem is that users are limited to three starter ink cubes for each color. Then you have to purchase the more expensive production ink. The easy work around was to use a 1/4" wide piece of paper and place it in front of the 'C' sensor to trick the electronics to think that there is a production cube in the loading chute. Try as I might, I'm not getting any relay to click open the loading chute. Has Xerox done something to prevent this (purchased my 8570DN printer just a couple months ago), or am I missing something? I'd really like to use the less expensive 8870 ink blocks, so any help would be appreciated.
