Security + Prep

(OP)
I studied very hard and still failed the exam. I got a 642, not sure what that means.

1) what is a 642? I.e. how much more studying do I need?

2) what is the best book and what is the best practice tests?

I have no experience so some of these concepts were very hard. Should I have taken network + first. Thank you.

RE: Security + Prep

I would recommend taking the Network+ first. It lays a solid foundation of network fundamentals that you may find useful during the Security+.

The Security+ Test is scored on a scale of 100 to 900, with a passing score being 750. I don't know why the scoring is structured in such a non-intuitive manner, but your score was pretty close.

Good Luck!
