Mas 90 4.0 lost keys, have 3.71 working

Mas 90 4.0 lost keys, have 3.71 working

(OP)
Eons ago the boss installed Mas 90 3.71 and all was well. Until Windows decided to end of life the xp platform. We are able to run a workstation on Win8 machines, but not able to install the server portion.

We have the server on a aging winxp that is near the end of its life and we pulled out a whole bunch of Mas 90 4.0-4.3 cd's.

Problem is that we are unable to install as we cannot locate the keys that came with it. We have all of the sleeves, but it is asking for 4 fields of data and we only have 3 from 3.71.

Is there a workaround? Can we pull the data from 3.71? We stopped with the paid support in 2004 and my understanding is that Sage can get us the numbers for a LOT of $.

Thanks.

Thanks, that was the first thing we tried. But the keycode for 4.0+ had more characters to fill than the 3.71 codes.

I will try again as soon as I am able and get what 4.0+ is looking for vs what we have for codes.

Have 4.05, 4.1, 4.2 in my hands.

Put 4.0 into my Win8 machine and got to the "Enter Company Information" screen.

Asking for Company Name, Reseller Name, Serial Number, Customer Number, User Key, Product Key (5 blocks of 5 characters) and Object Interface Key (Optional)

I pulled a 3.71 registration report and have:
Company Name, Reseller Contact, Registration ID (6 digit number), Serial key for M90 System Activation (7 digit number) and Unlocking key (20 digit code), Serial key for 11 other modules each having a 11 digit Activation and 6 digit code.

So the requested information does not line up. I plugged in the numbers where I thought they should go and 4.2 is telling me I am missing information. The biggest one for me is that the Unlocking Key (Product Key?) is short by 5 characters.

Do you have any documentation at all with the v4.xx disk? One thing you can try is to register on the Sage Customer portal. If you can then you should be able to pull up all the numbers in the company profile.

There is no documentation that I can find.

I have started another thread on: http://sagecity.na.sage.com/support_communities/sa...

Where can I find the Sage Customer Portal, and would they have the information even though we went through a vendor?

Thanks

Course it can not actually be easy. Sage Customer Portal wants a 10 digit account number starting with a 4. Our last Sage invoice has our customer number as a 9 digit starting with a 1.
