Unfortunately the old thread was closed, but wanted to reopen the thread with a much better solution to use 8870 or starter ink as many times as wanted in a 8570 printer. The solution is to install one of these:

It's a 10 minute install, and once done you can load any ink just by simply holding the momentary switch until all the ink loader gates are excercised. This means starter ink or 8870 in 8570 forever.
