RE: Need to activate engineering bit on a Octel 250

What is GMR? I know the OV250 but that has me stumped.

RE: Need to activate engineering bit on a Octel 250

GMR is Global message redundancy
It is configured wit 2 redundant system drives and 2 redundant message drives
right now my system drive 0 is down aand I can't access menu 20.

RE: Need to activate engineering bit on a Octel 250

I don't think you need the eng bit enable to replace a drive, just the service bit. Can you get to menu 20 from the boot command when the modem is connected to the "modem" port on the CCF card? If the modem is connected to ASYNC1,2 or 3 you can't get menu 20.

If you still need this let me know
