3850 TFTP problem

Having problem with 3850 when I TFTP startup-conf, file shows up on TFTP server but is empty. The following are the commands used:
MTC-First_East-SW01#copy running-config startup-config
Destination filename [startup-config]?
Building configuration...
Compressed configuration from 18232 bytes to 4939 bytes[OK]
MTC-First_East-SW01#copy startup-config tftp
Address or name of remote host []?
Destination filename [mtc-first_east-sw01-confg]?

Can some one tell me what I'm doing wrong, 20 3750 and 10 3560 work with the command copy ru tftp.

you've checked the read/write access on the tftp server and its all good ?

always up, not down and always twirling twirling towards infinity.

It is working with 30 3560 & 3750 switch with just the command copy ru tftp
