Help with Excel 2010

I need to download a file into an XLSX workbook. Can someone tell me the correct syntax?
Saving the file as 'FORMAT EXCEL' doesn't work.

RE: Help with Excel 2010

Is the file data-deliomited or fixed positions?

If the file is properly created, you should be able to just import it, do what you want with it, and then save it in one of the available formats.

For someone to help, you probably need to provide more detail.

RE: Help with Excel 2010

When I code 'FORMAT EXCEL' a binary file is created that I can download from the Mainframe and open in XL 2007.
However, this same file will not open in XL 2010. I'm looking for the syntax that will create a file that
XL 2010 will recognize and open.
