3COM NBX (V3000) gets hung!
3COM NBX (V3000) gets hung!
(OP)
We have an older V3000 NBX. I recently added a 72" rack in the server room, to alleviate a space problem in the MDX.
When I re-started the NBX, I get errors. I stumbled into a workaround, through a console and Putty (EXE). When the system boots, is does a lengthy disk check, and while doing that, it freezes during one or more of the processes it does during boot.
All I did was hit the "CR" key when I get an error message and it would continue to the next process, or free up and start working. It is random when it freezes, and usually I can hit the "Enter" key enough to free it up.
Any crazy ideas? I am out of them...

Maybe the system is hanging because this check has not taken place and file repair performed.
We have one V3000 out there but it is battery backed up to the hilt and the customer religiously shuts down the software during any planned outages for this very reason.

v3000->

PROGRAMMER/USER error: -7

C errno = 0
press return to continue

Once I hit the Enter Key it returns back to the command prompt.
I noticed this morning that only when the receptionist opens the lines up from the automated attendant over night. Then when the office shutsdown at night, the ladies put on the voice mail, and it hangs again.
