Brother printer prints blank pages

Brother printer prints blank pages

Brother printer prints blank pages

(OP)
Replaced old Brother printer with new MFC7460DN.
Nothing else changed. IP is the same. I can ping from UNIX by name but it prints blank pages whatever I do.

/etc/printcap
unixprn:\
:lp=:rm=judylpr:rp=BINARY_P1:sd=/usr/spool/lpd/unixprn:mx#0:

Tried to change rp to PCL_P1, TEXT_P1, still blank pages

Any ideas?

RE: Brother printer prints blank pages

The MFC-7460DN is a host-based printer.

I will never print from UNIX.

The DCN-8110DN should work. (Along with any other Brother that supports PCL emulation)

RE: Brother printer prints blank pages

tep0583 is correct to say that it must be a PCL capable printer. I might also add that it has to be a PCL-5 emulation, NOT PCL-6.
