Dear All, all of a sudden our Windows Servers 2012 are no longer able to resolve DNS or access net logon service. I tried removing servers from the domain and rejoining with no success. It seems that only Windows Servers are affected.
The event log is littered with errors:

Event ID: 1014
Name resolution for the name directaccess-WebProbeHost.somedomain.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

Name resolution for the name _ldap._tcp.Default-First-Site-Name._sites.dc._msdcs.somedomain.com. timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

Event ID: 129
NtpClient was unable to set a domain peer to use as a time source because of discovery error. NtpClient will try again in 15 minutes and double the reattempt interval thereafter. The error was: The entry is not found. (0x800706E1)

Event ID: 8015

The system failed to register host (A or AAAA) resource records (RRs) for network adapter
with settings:

Adapter Name : {DB7F73CE-E011-4F3C-BEBC-2CE7A871DF51}
Host Name : CHEETAH
Primary Domain Suffix : somedomain.com
DNS server list :
192.168.0.5
Sent update to server : <?>
IP Address(es) :
192.168.0.15

The reason the system could not register these RRs was because the update request it sent to the DNS server timed out. The most likely cause of this is that the DNS server authoritative for the name it was attempting to register or update is not running at this time.

You can manually retry DNS registration of the network adapter and its settings by typing 'ipconfig /registerdns' at the command prompt. If problems still persist, contact your DNS server or network systems administrator.

nslookup returns the right result and i can ping the domain controller. I can join a new installation of Window Server to the domain but if I tried logging in under a different account, it tells me that no logon service is available.

I had gone over tonnes of threads but can pinpoint the problem.

Two things worth mentioning : prior to the collapse of the system I made some changes to the password policy but that was all. Also, I have discovered that all server are trying to connect to “Workplace Connection” using direct access - I can’t recollect ever seeing this before.
Any help would be appreciated.
