Excel export includes old subreport format?

Excel export includes old subreport format?

I am using SSRS and Visual Studio 2012.
I had to completely rebuild a subreport (major changes in data content, etc.) but it still uses the same parameters (from/to dates). I created it, verified it, exported it to EXCEL -- it was 100%. I added it as a subreport to my main report.

When I preview the main report it shows me the data I expect to see, in the format I expect to see. When I export it to EXCEL, It is showing me the old format! I re-checked the preview, and it is all new format.

Before I created the new subreport: I deleted the old one, removed it from the main report, and did a CLEAN and a REBUILD on the project.

What gives? What did I miss?
